Members of the Rungeto Farmer's Cooperative who deliver to their local washing station (Karimikui) grow a mix of varieties, known to thrive in this area (Kirinyaga), SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11, & Batian. The coffees are depulped and processed as traditional washed for the area, including a second soak after the initial fermentation, and dried on raised beds, resulting flavours distinct to Kenya, with purple gummies, resinous blackberry & sticky date sweetness rounding out the finish.
